On September 9, 2025, the "China-ASEAN Countries Forum on Blue Economy Cooperation and Development" co-hosted by the Oceanic Administration of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Fourth Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the China-ASEAN Countries Joint Research and Development Center of Marine Science and Technology was held in Nanning.

Entrusted by Professor Chi Fulin, President of the China Institute for Reform and Development (CIRD), Guo Da, Executive President of Hainan Institute for Free Trade Port Studies, attended the forum and delivered a speech themed "Building a China-ASEAN Common Large Market for Blue Economy" at the main forum.
