Professor Chi Fulin, President of CIRD, Visited Cytopeutics in Malaysia
On August 24, 2025, Professor Chi Fulin, President of China Institute for Reform and Development (CIRD), led a research delegation to conduct a visit to Cytopeutics, a biotechnology company based in Malaysia. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Professor Chin Sze Piaw, Co-founder of Cytopeutics. The delegation toured the company’s Experience Center, followed by a roundtable discussion between both sides.
Cytopeutics representatives introduced the company’s latest developments in stem cell research and clinical applications. The two sides exchanged views on how to better serve Chinese market and strengthen cooperation with Hainan Free Trade Port.
Participants from Cytopeutics included Honorary Professor Cheong Soon Keng, Board Director Henry Low, and Board Director Michael Then. Participants from CIRD included Yang Rui, Executive President of CIRD and President of RCEP Research Institute; Chen Wei, Vice President of CIRD; Li Chun, Director of CIRD–GRANDALL Center of FTP Law Studies; Liang Hui, Secretary-General of CIRD–GRANDALL Center of FTP Law Studies; Ong Chong Yi, Senior Researcher of Hainan Institute for Free Trade Port Studies (HIFTPS); and Wang Hongsen, Secretary-General of HIFTPS.
