On September 17, 2025, the "Hainan Think Tank Forum: China (Hainan)-ASEAN Think Tank Forum 2025," jointly organized by the Hainan Federation of Social Sciences Circles, the National Institute for South China Sea Studies, and the Huayang Center for Maritime Cooperation and Ocean Governance, was held in Haikou. Guo Da, Excutive President of Hainan Institute for Free Trade Port Studies, was invited to attend and delivered a speech titled "Leveraging Hainan Free Trade Port’s Pioneering Role in Promoting the China-ASEAN Blue Economy Market" during the session on "China (Hainan)-ASEAN Blue Economy Innovation and Industrial Cooperation."
